Our inspiration site today is all about getting fit and healthy, and one of Audrie's suggestions was to make a scene that we would love to walk in. I walk in the early mornings most days, and living in MN means that sometimes I am walking through a winter wonderland - maybe not quite as dramatic as this sky, but incredibly lovely nonetheless!
For the sky, I used a technique that I learned from Loll Thompson: smooshing with alcohol inks on Yupo paper. She has a great video showing the process . I used the technique with the added mixative (silver). I am grateful to Loll for always sharing her beautiful techniques so clearly and thoroughly.
After I made the sky bg I splattered it with diluted white acrylic paint and some silver shimmer spritz. The rest is self-explanatory - the tree line die is popped up with dimensionals and the sentiment embossed in silver.

Eeek! My goodness this is wonderful! I walk the dog in the early morning too and in the winter sometimes see some gorgeous scenery. ...but nothing to compare with this! This is definitely enough to make me want to get into alcohol inks. Your background is so richly beautiful and makes a perfect foil for the pretty die cut tree line. Beautiful!
