Mary is our hostess this week and she has chosen: night of navy, mint macaron, watermelon wonder and for desert: use dsp. I subbed denim for my navy. No dessert for me on this one, but I did use it on my other card
Breaking in my new favorite stamp " Tulip" with some double and triple stamping and lots of masking as I went. To create the first layer of each stamp - and make it lighter - I applied the ink with a dauber rather than by inking it from the ink pad directly. The next layer was stamped full strength and I was really pleased with how this worked! I did add a bit of shading with a copic on my leaves because I was not as successful with getting the first layer light enough. Stamped and embossed the sentiment in black, and then die cut the "happy" from this same panel. Popped it up with dimensionals on top of my watermelon card front. Love the dimensional look this creates. Added stickles for some sparkle - love how this turned out!

What a truly stunning birthday card this is and an excellent card for all the challenges you entered this in. These tulips are just gorgeous and draw your eye to the wonderful cutout in this card. I love the font on this sentiment too! Hugs! ~Karen.
