I am using my gelli plate for the first time and it is SO fun! There are lots of tutorials out there but I found Shery Russ's tutorial a great place to start. You can find it here. Thanks for your inspiration, Shery!
I brayered a couple of blues and a green for my acrylic paint on the gelli plate, laid the stencil on top, and this was one of my first couple of prints. After this dries you have the lovely flower with this great texture from the paint. Then I did lots of sponging (distress inks) and stamping with my Mixed Media Grunge stamps to get the bold color saturated look. The final touch was splattering with more slightly diluted paint (including white) with a paintbrush and adding a sentiment - so fun!

Wow, Maura, I don't think there is a technique you don't do to perfection. My Geli plate and I are not on speaking terms and he is banished to the storage closet for causing me too much grief. Your card is lovely. It looks like a gorgeous field of flowers just after it rained. love it.

Wow, what an awesome job you did with the geli plate, paints, and stencil! The card is marvelous and your inspiration piece shines through! Great work, my friend!
