It is Tickle a Teapotter time of the month and Sandy has given us a terrific "cooking competition" challenge.
Here we have Julia Child, complete with her hat and signature string of pearls. She has just concluded a master class on preparing her world famous beef bourguignon from her equally famous cookbook, Mastering the Art of French Cooking.
I am very slow at prep work in the kitchen and my knife skills leave a lot to be desired...remember the time my knife got stuck in a pumpkin and I nearly knocked myself unconscious when the whole pumpkin whacked me in the head when i was trying to remove the knife...and then there was the time I sewed my hand inside a chicken. I digress; it took me 90 minutes to prepare the beef bourguignon followed by 6 hours cooking time!! DH thought it was a "nice stew", he is lucky to be alive!
Enough about me, here we have young Nigella and Heston. Nigella failed to impress Ms Child so she has to stand in the naughty corner (actually she was too tall so I chopped off the top of her head). Heston on the other hand has been rewarded with a chef's hat and immunity from next weeks challenge.
Nigella and Heston are both coloured with a Distress Crayon and my finger, I used a damp paint brush to get a tiny bit of colour around the edges of Nigella's apron. NOTE: If you own gelato's then you already have distress crayons LOL. Julia was from my stash, she was already coloured so I just added a hint more colour using a distress crayon and a copic marker.
The card design a pop-up diorama - Sabrina featured this fun fold last year (TLC522). I coloured a veggie garden scene and put it behind the window. The checkerboard floor was done with a black copic marker and fine marker. It is time consuming but a whole lot of fun.

Bon Appetit my friends.
