The bg was made using the monoprinting technique. I applied peacock feathers distress ink to the wrong side of a stencil and then placed it on top of my paper and pressed down. After that was dry I once again used my stencil but this time I dabbed distress stain in barn red over the small openings. I removed the stencil and then sponged on some more peacock feathers and evergreen bough distress inks to even out the color a bit. The flowers are some Hero Arts ones I haven't used in a long time. The stamp shows just the top of the flower so I doodled in the stems and colored with copics.

Wow, what a striking card, Polly! You really made these two colors look so natural together. I love the beautiful flowers, especially the doodled stems! Fantastic work, Polly!

Oh, great job with those stems, Polly, and just a gorgeous card. I love your background and how pretty you colored those flowers.
