This week our cards are headed off to the Mother of Carol (Gingerbeary. Rita is 80 years young and has been having some pretty tough health issues. In reading about Rita, I think of my Mother and Grandmother. Both were/are crafters, and both taught/teach others the crafts. Even I host a once monthly craft social in the community where I live and share my crafting (enabling) with the ladies of my LSS. Thus, the direction of my card for Rita. I know she will be able to appreciate the fine work done on this card.
I've kept it simple, keeping the focus on the main element, a chocolate confection with a touch of creamy white chocolate to top it all off.
The spacing on the Floral oval is 30 spaces, while on the cream piece, I used a brass stencil pattern with just a portion of the pattern. I was going for a decorated chocolate here.
Now if only I could include the wonderful fragrance of chocolate with this card...

Oh my Jennifer, this is so gorgeous and so rich looking!!! Yum, yum, yum!! It's better than a chocolate because it lasts longer. You really have some special gifts with that spirelli and paper embroidery.

Oh WOW how elegant and graceful this is. I just love all the beautiful work you put into this masterpiece. Brown and cream are so rich and magical. I know my Mom will love this. She will appreciate the amount of work you put into this. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for participating Jennifer and sending this to cheer my Mom. She is super excited as I told her last night to watch her mailbox. Thanks again-I appreciate it more than you would ever know!

Oh my goodness. What an amazing amount of love and detail in every stitch. And at first glance, it looks like the top of a box of very fine and elegant chocolates. What a beautifully hand crafted card. I love it.

Holy Moly Jennifer.........what a gorgeous work of art. Actually you CAN add the fragrance of chocolate by taking a cotton swab and dabbing the treads with chocolate flavoring. I've used all kinds of flavorings on cards. On my floral cards I put a dab of essential oil to add to the card opening experience!!! Most of the recipients tell me they think they can actually smell whatever the subject it. It's fun to tell them they weren't imagining it!!! ha ha

WOW that loud thud you heard was my jaw hitting the floor. It seems wrong to call this a card, it is a WORK OF ART. Jennifer this is so beautiful. Every stitch looks full of love. I think Rita might just frame this, I know I would. I cannot stop looking at this!!!!
