This week our cards are headed off to the Mother of Carol (Gingerbeary. Rita is 80 years young and has been having some pretty tough health issues. In reading about Rita, I think of my Mother and Grandmother. Both were/are crafters, and both taught/teach others the crafts. Even I host a once monthly craft social in the community where I live and share my crafting (enabling) with the ladies of my LSS. Thus, the direction of my card for Rita. I know she will be able to appreciate the fine work done on this card.
I've kept it simple, keeping the focus on the main element, a chocolate confection with a touch of creamy white chocolate to top it all off.
The spacing on the Floral oval is 30 spaces, while on the cream piece, I used a brass stencil pattern with just a portion of the pattern. I was going for a decorated chocolate here.
Now if only I could include the wonderful fragrance of chocolate with this card...

I don't think it would take a crafter to appreciate the detailed work in this - but a crafter is even more going to appreciate the love and care behind it. I must try this some time with this die! I was bummed when I tried back-stitching it once to discover that it was the wrong number of holes to end up evenly, but I take it that doesn't matter with your amazing stitched frames.

Your paper embroidery cards are in a class of their own, Jennifer!! You nailed the chocolate "colors" down so well, I can practically SMELL the chocolate on this card! What a unique and beautiful pattern - I agree with Susie - I would be framing this elegant creation!!
