They shelves were done by cutting 2" strips out of the shelves that already have a white finish. You can purchase these at Lowes. This did leave the edge unfinished so, I have to go back and paint the edges white. Then DH took small L shaped brackets and attached them to the wall.

I had these in my old house, but I just bought quarter round molding and screwed it into the wall with screws. No cutting, no l-brackets. I did but tiny shims on the under side so the stamps would tilt back toward the wall. (earthquake country) They did well in quakes too!
