Hello! This card was made for todayÂ’s StampinÂ’ BÂ’s Challenge and fits todayÂ’s Ways to Use It challenge to use Polka Dots on a card.
Ever had something stick in your head? Something like an image? A song? Well….I was in the bank yesterday and the song “Wing and a Prayer” by the Bee Gees was playing. Something must have been wrong because it didn’t just play once, or twice, but by the time I finally left, and according to the gentleman BEHIND us in line, it had played 7 times, and was still playing. Mark said, “It’s torture by 80’s music!”
Well, that song certainly inspired this card. I also KNOW that Sizzix used music covered designer paper on their sample, so, I guess I “CASED” that idea. I wonder, was the designer at Sizzix tortured by the Bee Gees that afternoon while designing her samples???
The wings were cut out of the new Sizzix Die from Wowza Water Color Paper. Next, I stamped the music from the Musical Holiday Stamp Set in Adirondack’s Espresso. I sponged in Adirondack’s Ginger to “antique” the wings. Next, I ran the wings through the Sizzix Embossing Folder: Plaid to give them some “texture.” The sentiment was stamped in Adirondack’s Espresso. The Cracked stamp from Background Fun was used to add dimension. Polka Dots were added around the Deepest Mahogany layers and on a sheer ribbon.
