Hello! This card was made for todayÂ’s StampinÂ’ BÂ’s Challenge and fits todayÂ’s Ways to Use It challenge to use Polka Dots on a card.
Ever had something stick in your head? Something like an image? A song? Well….I was in the bank yesterday and the song “Wing and a Prayer” by the Bee Gees was playing. Something must have been wrong because it didn’t just play once, or twice, but by the time I finally left, and according to the gentleman BEHIND us in line, it had played 7 times, and was still playing. Mark said, “It’s torture by 80’s music!”
Well, that song certainly inspired this card. I also KNOW that Sizzix used music covered designer paper on their sample, so, I guess I “CASED” that idea. I wonder, was the designer at Sizzix tortured by the Bee Gees that afternoon while designing her samples???
The wings were cut out of the new Sizzix Die from Wowza Water Color Paper. Next, I stamped the music from the Musical Holiday Stamp Set in Adirondack’s Espresso. I sponged in Adirondack’s Ginger to “antique” the wings. Next, I ran the wings through the Sizzix Embossing Folder: Plaid to give them some “texture.” The sentiment was stamped in Adirondack’s Espresso. The Cracked stamp from Background Fun was used to add dimension. Polka Dots were added around the Deepest Mahogany layers and on a sheer ribbon.
Finished card size: 6 ¼” x 5”
Total Time to create: 38 minutes

Oh my goodness, Faith, this is the richest, most elegant, most vintage, most beautiful!!! Wow! I had out my new Cuttlebug Vintage cut and emboss set with Angel Wings and nearly had those cut for today's challenge when I went a different direction! Now I feel like rushing straight back to my angel wings!! Like I said, wow!

Gorgeous card, Faith -- love the rich colors. About the song playing over and over: a similar thing happened to me, except that the song was "Hey, Jude." Seems that the oldies station in Orlando was changing its format -- and this was the parting song. It played for 24 hours!!!
Wow, Faith, this is gorgeous. I love that song but I don't think I could handle it that many times! The rich colors of this and the wings made with musical paper are just beautiful.

What a wonderful idea for the music challenge, to use the wings...even if you did have to hear the music over and over. Yikes! But, the card turned out to be awesome.

I love the BeeGees music, but 7 in a row would have me running for the door too! LOL This is so pretty and I can clearly see your inspiration played out with those fabulously inked, embossed, and sponged wings! Gorgeous!
