This is for Cathy's Sketch Challenge. I love polka-dots and I'm using up old paper, so I layered up the dots. I used a darker green for the banner and white embossed the sentiment. Used ribbon for the #3 strip - ruffled coral over a white organdy ribbon and paper flowers for the #6 circles. So much could be done with this layout.
This is also for Nicole's VSN challenge to use Kim's Foolproof Watercolor technique. I chose lighter colors, so it's a little difficult to see in the photo. I scrunched up a baby wipe and pick up ink from the ink pad, then patted and wiped it on the watercolor paper. I used two colors - (cantaloupe & pistachio) to line up with the tulips & stems. I went around the area inside the edges twice to make it darker and create a "frame" and then swiped along the outside edge again for a finishing touch. Quick and easy and pretty results.
For the tulips, I stamped with coral ink and then used a yellow watercolor crayon down the middle of each tulip and then blended with aqua painter brush. For the stems & leaves, I stamped with olive ink and colored around with a lighter green watercolor crayon and blended. Stamped the bow in cantaloupe.
Hope you can use both challenges for your springtime cards. TFL

Love the springtime colors in this card - your DP's brings back fond memories of an Easter long ago when my 4 sisters & I each got a new Dress made of a pastel colored dotted swiss fabric (pink, peach, lilac, mint & blue) - I really do like everything about this card - it is a well co-ordinated use of the sketch - this one heads to my fav's for sure!!

I like all the shading and framing and variations of color you used for your focal panel. I am very basic with my coloring and reading things like you using yellow down the middle of your tulips is so helpful! Those little touches add SO much - your tulips are gorgeous!
