For today's TLC challenge - you'll be able to find it HERE.
Sure wish I had kingfishers in the garden - it's the name of the stamp set from Art Journey, but I certainly don't think of them as garden birds. I spent a lot of time at my dad's funeral last month talking to my young (8 years old) nephew, and when he saw the kingfisher wallpaper on my phone, he asked could I make him a kingfisher card. I don't know how much he really wanted one, but since I had the stamp I was happy to make him one, and the fabulous background was certainly a good setting for him.
Background as per tutorial, using Brushos.
Kingfisher stamped on white card with Versafine Black and coloured with Polychromos pencils, and a blue Sakura Stardust for some iridescent shimmer. I used Inktense pencils for the rocky perch.

Wow, wow, wow! This is fantastic Sabrina. I love the texture and bold colours of your background, the gold embossing makes me want to reach through the screen and touch it. Your challenge technique is the perfect setting for your beautifully coloured kingfisher. 8 year old boys are a mystery hey!

Can't wait to play. This technique is beautiful and so is your card!
On another topic, my dh is on his way to Edinburgh tonight. I so wanted to jump in his suitcase and pop in to Dublin to visit you while he was in that part of the world.

Sabrina, this is so very pretty. I love the colors and the gold embossing just makes it even better. Your Kingfisher looks great on this background. Your nephew will love it. I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your dad. I knew he was not in good health, but had not heard this news. Hugs for you, friend.
