For today's TLC challenge - you'll be able to find it HERE.
Sure wish I had kingfishers in the garden - it's the name of the stamp set from Art Journey, but I certainly don't think of them as garden birds. I spent a lot of time at my dad's funeral last month talking to my young (8 years old) nephew, and when he saw the kingfisher wallpaper on my phone, he asked could I make him a kingfisher card. I don't know how much he really wanted one, but since I had the stamp I was happy to make him one, and the fabulous background was certainly a good setting for him.
Background as per tutorial, using Brushos.
Kingfisher stamped on white card with Versafine Black and coloured with Polychromos pencils, and a blue Sakura Stardust for some iridescent shimmer. I used Inktense pencils for the rocky perch.

The magical beauty of your colorful bg is very thought provoking.
My experience of kingfisher sitings are on small lakes in the north woods of Wisconsin.
I found this on the internet which blends perfectly with your beautiful card...
Kingfisher Symbolism. Also known as the Halycon, the Kingfisher is a long-time symbol of peace and prosperity. ... It is said the Kingfisher is the promise of abundance, of new warmth, prosperity and love that is about to unfold within your life.
Hugs and comfort to you & your family.

Those brushos make for some glorious colors in your bg and you've manage a beautiful array of colors for your golden wrinkles to play off of. Wonderful coloring on your Kingfisher, too.

Sabrina, you make me want to quit my job and fly over to your house to pjay. My list of techniques that "I just have to try" keeps getting longer and my "me time" keeps shrinking. This card is fabulous...I love your bg. I used to love to make backgrounds, but the best I can do these days is a few minutes of coloring with sharpies in my car at my lunch break. The colors you chose are so pretty and the bird is the perfect image to occupy this lovely scene.

Wow!! Gorgeous Brushos with metallic heat embossing background for your beautifully colored kingfisher image. Your nephew is going LOVE his card made just for him:-)
We do see kingfisher's often on our tide water creek and in the river. So beautiful and love watching them catch fingerling fish. Maybe if you had a big pond in your garden :-) Thanks for hosting, Sabrina. Hugs..
