I made this card for my aunt and uncle's 50th Wedding Anniversary next weekend. The card is a case of this card by one of my fabulous stamp friends, known here as Dakotastamper.
I changed up the colors as my aunt and uncle's wedding colors were 2 shades of blue. I love Soft Sky & Blue Bayou, so I decided those would be my colors with some gold of course to represent the golden year.
The image was stamped in Blue bayou on soft sky and then using the stamp-a-majig, I overstamped offsetting just a bit with versamark and then embossed with gold ep. Then I sponged around the edges with blue bayou ink and towards the center with soft sky ink. The flowers were then stamped with versamark on blue bayou, cut out and popped up. Layered the image on brushed gold and then blue bayou, then added ribbon. sentiment was created similar to main image and a small amount of soft sky was sponged around the edge. All this was placed on a soft sky base.
I printed a sentiment and 50th anniversary poem from poemsource.com on the inside.
I really like the results although I don't think it looks like a "traditional" 50th anniversary card.
Thanks for looking!

What a lovely anniversary card! I love how you stamped the image, offsetting it a second time with the gold embossing. I think I'm going to have to try this technique. TFS

What a beautiful anniversary card. I love the set that you've use, the gold embossing markes this so elegant and I love how you've taken the blooms and popped them up. Lovely sentiment too.
