Another challenge card from my dear friend -- she got some paint samples from Home Depot and we had to use it on our card with all 4 colors on it. I loved that the sample I got goes very well with Blue Bayou.
I cut the words of the paint sample. I then used what was left and cut it almost in half...had one a bit bigger than the other. I then trimmed the ends of the smaller piece and flipped it 180 degrees and layered on top of the larger piece. I then layered the "hugs to you" on top of that (using Blue Bayou and Soft Sky to distress the edges).
The butterfly embellishment is from a hair clip of mine that my youngest son broke a few weeks ago. Instead of throwing it away - I saved it to use on a card. It doesn't show that well in the photo - the outside edges of the butterfly are in "silver" and the wings are a deep blue with a bit of a glitter in them that adds some dimension to them.
Thanks for looking!
