I made this Mother’s Day Card for my Mommy, Rosa and Mother-in-Law, Eleanor. I got a chance to use the amazing Kitchen Sink 3-step Rose Stamps, my new nesties and Swiss dot cuttlebug folder. I first used the large oval nestie. I made up many, so that I could have spares in case I messed up the roses, which I did many times. Then, came the roses. Took me a while, but came out fairly nice. Kitchen Sink’s Maria Colosimo was very helpful in suggesting colors and techniques. Thanks, Maria! Then I sponged the edges with SU creamy caramel, certainly celery and pretty in pink. I let the colors go from there. Next came the large oval scallop nesties in old olive. I used non SU shiny pink paper and Cuttlebugged it using the Swiss Dot embossing folder. I cut out the oval from the dots and also a larger old olive oval using coluzzle. I used hodgepodge oval that encased warm words “cherish” that was placed next to the rose.
The large River Rock card base was topped by old olive and Bali Breeze DP. To top it off I adhered a Pat Bassett blossom rose. The mothers were very pleased and impressed. That made me happy.
