This is my card for a Monday challenge that I do with a small group of SCS friends. This is my story!
1. We were to make a Mother's Day card and we were to use an item from our household that was not purchased for card making.
2. My household item is the little brass leaf and that cool rawhide string. I got an awesome candle as a gift and this little charm was wrapped around the cande.
3. Okay, so that particular item does not really fit with a Mother's Day theme...not pink and flowery, but I found myself obsessed by it and just wanted to use it! (BAD!) Probably because its been sitting on my desk along with a pad of new Basic Grey paper and it I thought the two went together so well!
4. So....here is my unconventional Mother's Day card. The sentiment is the key!

So rich, warm and beautiful! Wow! So many wonderful details. Beautiful colors! All those layers, brads and photo corners not to mention the chip board, it must weigh a ton! Love the little charm.

I love the details, all the brads, all the photo corners, and the leaf charm. I have saved almost all my anniversary cards over the year (23) and just recently went through them and put off any embellishments that I could use. Is that wrong?

Very pretty, I love all the layers and the mix of dp. Lucky you to have that leaf charm and the rawhide or you may have had to ring the buzzer for yourself. Oh, I forgot, there must be a rule that the person with the buzzer does not have to ring it for their own card. All kidding aside, this is a really cool card.

ok, so are there like 30 layers on this card??? is this an all time high count for Cindy??? will mother be able to hold onto this card without working out her biceps prior to opening it??? will the typical mail truck be able to have it in their truck without adding super duper shock absorbers????
what terrific Dp this is! love all the designs and colors that blend so well together! (all accept that leaf thing and leather cord that is) LOL!!!! beautiful card Cindy!!
