Until I found Roxie's sketch challenges I had a hard time being a card maker...she has helped me so much learning this art. My card today is a great example of this very thing...I was dreaming on the sketch last night and this wonderful moon image slipped into my mind...and I instantly knew of three people it would work for...
I stamped the Rubber Stamps of America image onto grey cs with Tim Holtz distressed weather wood ink and embossed in clear. I used the Sandy Lion paper 'Snowy Night' for my background paper as I think it looks like stars in the heavens. I matted my moon onto white and black cs...some with shine, some texture. The sentiment is from Rubber Moon stamped on white with VersaColor black and again embossed in clear. I FUSSY cut so I could place it on the background. On my card base, I inked the upper third in Versamark and embossed with Kaleidoscope ep...it gives a sparkley texture that reminds me of stars.
So I think I'll be doing reruns with this card...I like the idea of it being encouragement for my sons, or my friend as she explores treatment options in her fight with cancer and even me as I examine potential 'forks' in my path. Thanks very much Roxie for being a sparkplug to me!
