When I first saw this challenge - use something wood - I went, "oh well, won't be able to do this one". Then I remembered, I had purchased a heap of these wooden photo frames from Ikea, like, years ago!!!!! As I had cleaned out my craft room only a month or so back, I knew exactly where they were (once I remembered where I'd put them!!!!), so I dragged them out and viola!!!! One, inked and stamped wooden photo frame to house a photo of my gorgeous little girl (and yes, I am incredibly biased and I make no excuse for it - LOL!!!!!!)
I simply used my SU inkpads to "swipe" the photo frame until I had enough colour. I then dabbed my Whisper White Craft inkpad in spots over the coloured frame and used a blender pen to blend the white into the colour - I was trying for a faded/chabby chic look - don't think I was terribly successful at that, but I am pleased with the result.
The shapes/flowers are two stamps from the Little Pieces set that just happened to match the shapes/flowers on Maggie's little suit - I just inked them up with different colours and stamped them around the frame.
This was so quick and easy - I could have decorated the frame even more, obviously, if I'd wished to, but this frame just matches the picture really well, so I didn't overdo it. Well, not this time, anyway!!! I didn't want to distract from the photo too much, rather, I just wanted to compliment it.
Anyway, thanks for looking!!!!
