My birthday is tomorrow, so this challenge gave me the perfect reason to create some thank you cards.
The challenge was based on a piece of artwork with squares and swirls and all different colors, so everyone had a lot to be inspired by.
Since doing the WT challenge earlier this week, I've realized I like making square cards. These cards are 4.25" square and are Apricot Appeal. 2 of the cards have a layer on silver paper (I didn't have enough to do all 3.)
The glossy cardstock was stamped in Versamark in the small swirls from Stars and Swirls then embossed in Crystal Clear EP. I then chose a color to sponge on the rest of the paper. The blues are Bashful and Buckaroo; purples are Lavender Lace and Elegant Eggplant; pinks are Pretty in Pink and Pink Passion.
The 'thanks' is stamped in Not Quite Navy on glossy cardstock and the ribbon is non-SU cream organdy.

Using a square card was a great way to include the squares of the inspiration piece. These cards are great! I really should try some 4.25 square cards, since they fit in regular card envelopes. (I always shy away from square cards because they are hard to mail.)
Gee, you are inspiring me!

These are great Sara! I have always liked square cards, just not the extra postage. You have convinced me to make 4 1/4" ones now so that they fit in standard card envies. Cute ensemble!
