I really struggled with getting the right shape of this. After several false starts, I finally got it to look somewhat like a lighthouse. By the time that happened, I didn't have any time for embellishments because my 45 minutes was up. But here is what I was able to accomplish in that time.
The windows were cut out with an exacto knife. There is a transparency fastened in the inside to create more realistic windows.
I took two pictures, one in a dark bathroom with a light underneath so you could see what it looks like as a tabletop nightlight with the light coming through the windows and the other in the daylight so you can see it in normal lighting as well.
This was a difficult challenge for me but I think I'm pleased with how it turned out even if it is a little plain.
