This was done from the extraordinary card that Kristin Moore posted on SCS!! I was struck by the softness of the card. I had to make it for a sympathy card at the passing of my friend's grandmother last week. Thank you, Kristin, for the detailed instructions. I did not do any embossing on my tree, but I did do all of the bg layers. I stamped my background trees in Going Gray to go with the softness of the sponged colors. I used Creamy Caramel on the French Script, Linen, and Weathered bg stamps. The tree was stamped with Stazon Green and colored in with markers. The sponging in the oval template was done in Creamy Caramel and Sage as you suggested, Kristin. I used copper brads and twine as the accents. I think any more than this would take away from the cards itself.

Linda, your version is fabulous! Your tree is absolutely lifelike due to your coloring, very nice! I'm sure your friend felt your sincerity in this card.
