This is the first installment in my PCC (Personal Card Challenge) series. Not an overly complicated challenge, but one to get me back into the grove (plus give to me something to blog about already!). My personal challenge is to recreate the cards in the '06-07 SU Idea Book & Catalog. The only hitch being I must change the images. Leaves a lot of the creativity aspect out of the challenge, but gets me to try techniques and styles I wouldn't do on my own. Plus maybe I can draw on them in the future. So here's #1. You can see the original on page 4 of the catalog. I'm fearing a shortage of Christmas cards so I decided to try for an untraditional Christmas card.
In addition, since I don't have all the inks or ribbons, I have to try to use what I have to get as close as possible. I didn't have cool caribbean ink or marigold morning ink.. so I stamped off tempting turquoise and more mustard to get something similar. I think it works!
Oh.. my blog is a drag, but if you'd like to watch my progression you can check it out at http://no-ink-time.blogspot.com/ .
