Happy day, all! I have combined the current Color Challenge CC893 and todays Technique Lovers Challenge TLC897. Sabrina is our hostess and she's brought Emboss Resist. I love embossing and use it on every single card I create, but this is the first time to use a stencil as my resist. Interestingly, the pixie spray and the super fine ep obscured the lettering in a random way that actually added to the background!
I absolutely love this thought and am not sure if it is attributed to anyone. Because of the resist, I will spell it out:
Art is just another way of expressing our innermost thoughts onto concrete media. Where form and function come together in beauty, color, and shape. We put our feelings and experiences onto paper, sanrat, surfaces of all kinds. Allowing ourselves to release and surrender to this all encompassing force. This need to register what was today, what might be tomorrow. And what was yesterday and the day before that.
I filled the bottle with hearts and left the lid askew. Seven hearts, seven years, always remember the love and companionship. It is so very hard to loose a beloved pet. On the back: no longer by your side, but forever in your heart.
LeAnn, thank you for the color combination this week. The hues are just beautiful! With the Soft Succulent background and those Blushing Bride hearts, I decided to keep the Sahara Sand just a narrow band of coarse linen. No dessert for me.
Have a great day and week...may you find time for your creative manifesto!!!

Love this gorgeous card and how it turned out for you. I agree the colors are so soothing and nice, and your message sooths not only the intent of this card, and love how you spoke of what our added art says about the added emotions in addition to the words that might express in their own ways too. You touched my heart this morning, my friend.
