I wanted to see if I could get a better impression on the crayon embossing technique with a different folder so I pulled out a circle one that makes such a deep impression that it sometimes slightly cuts the paper. This did work better after I brayered with Pacific Point ink and buffed it. If I ever need a pool background, I know just how to make it now!
Iâve been getting some older SU sets from Ebay and the Beautiful Batik set from the early 2000s recently arrived. I thought it would go well with the background so I broke it out. I used Night of Navy to stamp the border right on the background and mounted the background to a white card with tape runner. I also inked the edges of the card a bit. I stamped the flower three times on some bright pink cardstock scraps, and also the sentiment from the Birthday Greetings set. I fussy cut the flowers and sentiment out and glued to the card, using foam tape to pop up two of the flowers. I added some rose gold glitter glue in the center of the flowers but didnât like it so much as it dried, so I opted on some clear gems to finish it off.
USEIT2022: paper scraps! new to me Beautiful Batik set, dug out the Birthday Greetings from my stash. Also got the Pacific Point ink in a SU ink pad box lot several years ago and I donât think I had used it before now!

You're so right about that background looking like the top of a pool. So your flowers are floating on the pool. Glad to see you giving old stamp sets a home. Some of my favorite stamps are ancient.
