This is my sample for Barbara's awesome Color Challenge - Pool Party, Pretty Peacock and Very Vanilla with ribbon as the dessert option.
I started by stamping the image on Very Vanilla, heat embossed it in silver and die-cut the ornaments. Then I repeated on the Pool Party and Pretty Peacock. At the top of the Very Vanilla panel, I stamped the bough twice in Island Indigo, the closest match I have to the Pretty Peacock. I glued the die-cut panel to the Pool Party card base and added a strip of Peacock DSP.
I had fun filling in the die-cut openings with the silver embossed ornaments and embellishing with lots of bling. A couple small bows from vanilla ribbon at the top of the bough for the dessert. I thought this would be a Christmas card, however after seeing it done, it looked just right for a New Year's celebration. So I stamped the sentiment and have titled it "Bling in the New Year".
What will you celebrate with these colors? I hope you have fun creating. TFL

What a pretty and festive card, Diane, and I think it works great for a New Year's celebration! I love the way you created the ornaments, the swag and the little bows!

Diane it appears we were thinking along similar lines with the ribbon and ornaments! Your design is GORGEOUS, everything goes together majestically! TFS
