I watercolored/painted this butterfly by hand. Followed the video starting with brocade blue, then added some navy and black for the body. I used a fine tip pen to add lines to the image. Added black & blue splatters, then hand written sentiment. Popped up the navy panel. Thanks for stopping by! ~Roberta

Fabulous work on this beautiful butterfly, Roberta. Seems so easy for you. Love your handwritten sentiment, something I would be afraid to do when I had my watercolor finished, The splatters add so much prettiness.

This color butterfly is more realistic to me. I'm not sure I've ever seen a purple butterfly like mine turned out. The shape of the butterfly turned out really nice as well.

There is something about the wings you painted, that as soon as I saw it thought, this butterfly is dressed for the party in a billowing dress of chiffon. frilly edged skirt and all. The illusion makes me happy.
