I used several backgrounds from my stash, including a CitraSolv Nat Geo page and a gel print with ai and acrylic paint, stenciled. I mounted both of those papers, since they were flimsy, on some cardstock, foiled at the bottom, added some birch bark on one side and some strips of metallic stuff on the other side (I keep tiny scraps too). The focal points are pins that either broke (the wooden carved feather pin on one side) and a folded paper crane on the other side. I have a bunch of jewelry that I don't wear any longer for whatever reason and I've kept it for mixed media projects. The paperclip is sandwiched between the layers. Not sure how I will use this, since it's sort of thick and double sided. Melody sent me a few more videos, since I wasn't sure how to proceed and they were very helpful. I'm really sad that I broke that feather pin, it was hand carved by a local man and I don't think he's doing that any longer. There is also a pic posted of the other side.

Awesome work Jean. Shame that your paper pin broke. TFS. Happy day.

Love how this came out, Jean. I KNOW you will find a great way to use it. Love the texture and that feather. I have lots of broken jewelry and I love the idea of using this challenge to repurpose it. FAB idea, Fab creation you made, and Fab feature. Hugz

I’d love to see you at work, Jean: I tend not throw away tiny pieces either and it fun to see them find a perfect spot on a new creation. All my passé costume jewelry is in a Crown Royal velvet bag in my craft room waiting to go onto projects. Great minds eh? I love the textures you have achieved here and your composition is amazing. It would make a fantastic Nature Journal cover if you could fashion a hinge wide enough to open it to enjoy the back side of it as inside the cover. Know what I mean? 🥺. I just love looking at all the details front and back.
