This week's Teaparty recipient is Nancy's (nwilliams6) Dad, who is an Alabama Football loving Nascar fan who sometimes wears a Bear Bryant houndstooth cap.
So I pulled out my very old Houndstooth background stamp and stamped it a few times in the Misti with Versafine black ink.
I found the car by googling Clipart Nascar car. I digitally added the Alabama logo to the side door where the number usually appears. Bama's colors are red and gray hence the color choices for this card. The sentiment is computer generated using the font Kitten Swash (I know, that just doesn't sound like a font that should be used on a MANLY card...LOL).
Nancy's Dad is affectionately known as Pop and we were asked to pop on this card. I'm afraid I pooped out...I was rushing at the end to get everything done and glued down the ovals that I had intended to pop. Oh my. I was not even going to try to redeem this error. I will just take my lumps instead.
I hope Pops enjoys his cards and feels the love we are all sending his way. And, I hope he gets to enjoy the football season this year as Alabama is currently scheduled to play (fingers crossed). And, Nascar is still running on TV so there's a win as well.
I hope your day is filled with the things you love and enjoy too. TFL.

So personalized and sooo fun, Debbie. That car is wonderful - captures his love of red, Alabama, and racing. Pop was in local racing as well and loves race cars and sports cars. He even did some unofficial racing - he recently told us about something he did (never told us when we were younger or it would have encouraged some of us). We have a road near our house that as a large downhill slope with a little hill at the bottom. He tells us stories of getting cars so airborn that he cleared two sets of rail road tracks before he hit the road. Did it once in a new car. Crazy. He will love this and I so appreciate you making it. Many hugz

Such a cool card. I love the houndstooth and red 'A' car. Yes, we are looking forward to some football here in Alabama. Hope it all goes well but just won't be the same.

Wow, Debbie, you put a lot of thought into making this card for "Pop" and it sure shows. Love the colors and use of the Houndstooth. He will love this I am sure!

Brilliant! This came out so awesome and perfectly personalized. Wow, your houndstooth stamped beautifully! I have a houndstooth stamp that I didn't even try to use, because I didn't think I could get as good an impression as this. Fabulous!

Oh, what a fantastic background stamp. I like houndstooth - it always reminds me of a red and white poncho/cape (Red Riding Hood style, with red lining and a hood) that my mother made for me when I was about five or six. Black and white looks much more stylish, though. And that's one sleek and stylish car to go with it, too.
