Anita is our hostess for this week's Teapot Tuesday challenge - to find out why we are sending our cards to Lori and why I have a shell (two if you count the occupied crab one) on my card, check out the challenge HERE.
The shell was already on my desk, cut from watercolour paper. I spritzed it with water and use tea dye distress re-inker to colour it, then spattered it a bit with an Inktense pencil, then sponged all round the edges with some dark brown, whatever was on the sponge.
The base is alcohol inks applied to acetate, spritzed with alcohol and then glossy card pressed onto it. There's some pearlescent blue as well as a couple of regular ones. I added chunky white EP over the blue, and some Stickles along the surf line.
Sentiment from Art Neko stamped in Ranger's Archival black. My crab has found himself a giant shell! He's cut from alcohol inks on photo paper, with his shell popped up on foam. I retained the border after die-cutting the main panel, so I just trimmed it to an even width all round and rotated it through 180 degrees to use as a frame.
Being glossy card and pearlescent ink, it goes without saying that it was hard to capture. I might try again tomorrow before I mail it.

This is gorgeous, Sabrina! Love that shade of blue, and the shade of your large shell looks amazing! Hopefully, tomorrow I will have a chance to make a seaside card for teapot Tues. TFS

WOW!!! What a beautiful card - you did everything perfectly. And the sentiment is so beautiful too.
