Made this card for my sister-in-law and brother-in-law's wedding anniversary. Wanted something that made a statement, so chose an alcohol ink background my daughter and I can played around with last weekend. The colors I used are shown in the supplies list below. A great tutorial on how to create alcohol ink backgrounds is available for free from Jennifer McQuire (https://www.jennifermcguireink.com/2...ohol-ink.html).
The word "Anniversary" was created using my Brother ScanNCut machine and the font "Srikandy" I purchased from FontBundles.com. I cut out three sets, and stacked and glued then atop one another to create added dimension. I used the same machine to cut the shadow behind the word from blue vellum using "Srikandy Extrude Regular".
The smaller "Happy" was from Stampin' Up! (SU) "In the City" stamp set. I used a purple marker to just color the word "Happy" and stamped it twice using my SU Stamparatus stamp positioner. I then used a small die from the SU "Bunch of Banners" framelits die set. The die was too long, so I used the die twice to make it shorter by die-cutting one end off of the label. This small element was mounted on the card front using adhesive foam tape.
The A2 card base is made with SU Elegant Eggplant cardstock.
I am rating the difficulty level of this card as a "2" out of a possible "5". Making the background is super easy (and mess), but well worth it!!!
