This card was inspired by "52 Christmas Card Throwdown 8-20" challenge which required the use of foil on your card. I got carried away... my card IS foil!!!
I think this might be the first time I ever made a card without stamping, die-cutting, or punching!!! I had been to our annual stamping and scrapbooking expo here in Boise, and ran across Krazy Kreations outline stickers that you either color inside, or attach to glitter paper.
I thought I'd try using my Deco foil sheets since I've had so little luck using them as Thermo-Web instructs. I simply applied the stickers to the foil, then trimmed around them. To raise the ornaments up for added dimension, I scanned them into my Brother ScanNCut digital cutter, then cut out identical shapes from black craft foam that I then glued to the back of each ornament.
I first attached two green pine branch outline stickers to the filigree pattern cardstock, then the matching "hangers" stickers. Finally, I glued the three ornaments to the card front. I finished up by gluing a piece of gold cardstock as the matting onto an 4-1/4"x 5-1/2" card base, then glued the decorated panel on top.
This card turned out really beautiful in real life, but photographic reflective foils can be a challenge. I am rating the difficulty level of this card as a "1" out of possible "5". I RARELY make a card this simple and fast, since I'm always trying out new techniques to challenge myself. I'll be sending this to someone very special this upcoming Christmas!
