I needed a card for a friend just diagnosed with breast cancer. She has had a tough last few years losing her parents and her husband.
The color challenge was perfect for this card. I wanted it to be elegant but kind of a bit rustic. Loved the monochromatic colors with the option of a neutral.
Heat embossed the vine after stamping with versamark. Then added more embossing around the edges. Then I did a water color wash and let that dry. Next I added some distress ink. Splashed the whole thing with water and then dabbed it with a paper towel. The water took the distress ink off in spots and whitened my embossing back up.
A good card to make at 4:00AM - the heat embossing noise and the pretty vintage effect woke me right up.

Just absolutely lovely Nancy! The blend of the light blue with vintage photo gives such a soft result over the embossed background. Your friend deserves something to brighten her day and this will.
