Today Angie has chosen a wonderful inspiration site Ten Thousand Villages. There is a store in Boston near where I used to work and I have received several Christmas ornaments from a coworker that liked to shop there.
I have actually been working on making 10 of these sweet unicorns and just finished up the first 5 so this was the perfect chance to share them here!
I used the unicorn die from Neat and Tangled to cut the pieces out of felt (I used felt from PTI and MFT.) I hand stitched around the edges adding in the mane and wings as I went along. I sewed in a looped piece of twine between the wings so it can be hung up as the legs aren't sturdy enough to stand on their own.
She is smallish, measuring 5" to the tip of her horn and 4 1/2" at the widest point.
Thanks for the lovely site today Angie - It's great to be able to shop and feel like you are really helping people survive.
