To make this card I first stamped the oak leaves in embossing ink on the chocolate chip base. Then I heat embossed with gold embossing powder. Next I brushed flitter glue on a piece of white cs and added mulled wine gilding flakes and smoothed them out with a SU! Sponge. Next I cut and embossed the leaf. I think you can see the rest. The design of the card is from a very old SU! Catalog. I found it when I was doing last week's teapot challenge, Blast from the Past.

I love gilding flakes too - both as a tiny detail and for covering a piece as you have done with this so-beautiful leaf. But oh my - you hardly dare breathe while you're using them! And yay, the crimper is also a blast from the past along with the layout, and doesn't it look great. I love your autumnal brown and gold, Pat, but the leaf is definitely the show-stealer.

I agree, that leaf is definitely the highlight of this card! It's stunning! The design is great, too - it really shows off the colors and shine on the leaf. Thanks for sharing the card and the description too!

This is a gorgeous card with a fabulous gilding leaf! I might have to get out my gilding flakes! They do make a mess but a gorgeous card! Thx for sharing.

That is one gorgeous leaf! And the design with the gold embossed ones is really nice, too! I really miss using the torn edge for our papers. I still love the look it gives1
