Barb (barbaralynn), Kelly (MiamiKel4) and I have a monthly extreme challenge called Ready Set Go! Each month one of us develops a theme that is supposed to be a wee bit more challenging than the average theme. Then, on the third Wednesday of the month, we each reveal what we made with that theme.
This month was Barb's turn to develop the theme, and oh what a theme it is. We were to ask our spouse three questions - favorite color, a number between 1 and 5, and any holiday. The only thing that was a favorite of the spouse was the color. The other two items were just random. The spouses were not told why we were asking... but once we got the answers, we were to use those three answers as part of our creation.
My husband did me no favors! He chose Labor Day! Who chooses Labor Day?!?!?! Sheesh!
I don't have anything in my vast stash that even remotely looks like Labor Day stuff. After all, who sends Labor Day cards??
So... the woman on my card obviously loves her job - and wants to celebrate Labor Day by staying home. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Brent's favorite color - I asked, but I knew - is blue, so there's a lot of blue on my card.
Now, concerning the number, Brent chose the number 4. I thought sure he would say 3 since the number 3 kind of has a history with us. When he asked me to marry him, I asked him to give me 3 good reasons why we should get married. But that's okay... 4 is no problem.
I actually used FOUR things of 4 on my card - call me an over-achiever on this particular challenge, I guess.
4 different Washi tapes
4 brads
4 layers of black cardstock (if you count the inside and the front)
4 different papers - Blue DP, Black, Metallic Gold, and White CS
Ready! Set! Done!

Oh, how cute!!! I am so glad you included the story with this card! You are so clever to find this stamp and sentiment for labor day!!! I don't know if I could have come up with anything!! Well, maybe I would have made camping card as in his celebration of labor day would be to go out backpacking but really I don't know if I could have come up with anything! It's so fun to stamp with friends!!! Your challenge time sounds like a hoot!
