This is my card for alpha challenge round 8, letter Z, with part 2 using glue. I used a zinnia, and of course, plenty of glue - tombow mono-multi, dimensional foam tape, and scor-tape for the faux washi tape.
The flower is colored using sponge daubers, then cut out. The leaves are stamped with autumn leaf prints, but then cut with deckle scissors, making a whole new leaf shape. The edges are sponged with mowed lawn.
The faux washi tape is so easy to make. Recycled security envelopes with 1/2" scor-tape on the outside, and then just cut along the tape. I add color when ready to use.

This is lovely, Melody! I wish I hadn't gotten rid of my decorative scissors because I love how you use them for the leaf edges, that is fabulous! And what a great idea for making your own washi tape. Beautiful card!

Fabulous card Melody! I love orange and I love zinnia's and you made a real beauty here. Your faux washi tape adds a nice touch of fun to this wonderful card. And what a great card to send to someone- it will definitely make their day! ~Karen.
