Ideas from Ky's favorite artist, Kate Crane, and my favorite technique for mixed media, Wrinkle Free Distress. I was disappointed that I didn't achieve the bright white stenciling from Ms. Crane's work. The texture paste I used is supposed to be white, but is pretty subtle looking. Maybe I should have mixed some white acrylic paint with it? I sprinkled a little glitter over the paste to try to make it more noticeable, but it doesn't show much in my photo, Mixed Media is not my forte'! Thanks for taking a look, and thanks, Ky, for such an inspiring Pinterest gallery to view today.

Claudia, I think this is a great piece of mixed media! I have spent many hours trying techniques and products. It's definitely a growth form of art. The white does pop and the subtle pastel color of the background are dreamy! Thanks so much for playing!

I really love your results! The colors are fabulous, and I can see that you used white paste! It is always fun to do something outside our comfort zone.

I think this turned out great Claudia! I really like the soft colors on your bg and your choice of stamps used. Your embossing paste looks perfect here..I think a brighter white might have looked out of place with the paler colors..this works Pretty card!

Your mixed media card is so pretty Claudia! The watercolored background is beautifully done and I join other commenters in thinking the embossing paste looks exactly right. So nice that you still have the Touch of Nature stamp set, the detail of the bird on a branch is wonderful.
