For this card I have used a new Australian themes stamp from a new company here called Paper Roses. These little cuties are from a childhood book that I loved. It is called Snuggle Pot and Cuddle Pie.
These are gumnut babies and yes they are wearing hats. Can't you see the little gunnuts on their heads.
I made the background by splashing water colour paints on card and then misting it and splashing the colour around with a paint brush - much to the amusement of my two little kittens. There are probably paw prints all over the background.
The gumnut babies are coloured with watercolour pencils and then fussy cut and mounted up onto card with the sentiments added using my Misti.
I hope they have their sunscreen on - or there is going to be a lot of sunburn turning bright red tonight.
Hope you enjoy.

Oh wow how fabulous is this. I had a chuckle when I saw your title. Your background looks terrific and your colouring is top notch Helen. Like most Aussie kids, I grew up with Snugglepot and Cuddlepie, they just celebrated their 100th birthday. Thanks for sharing your wonderful talent and a new stamp company!
