Lori challenged us to make a card with the word blessings on it. I have many blessings in my life - my family and my alpha challenge sisters are two of the blessings that come to mind right away. This card has several goodies on it that I received from alpha challenge sisters - the embossed wood grain background, the leaf die cuts, the copper die cut. Aren't they all pretty?
I took Soft Suede direct to the embossed background to highlight the embossing. I stamped the two cs leaves with the leaf stamp from Best of Autumn to add interest to them, I also added stickles to them for a bit of sparkle. The sentiment panel I made plaid with SU markers and copper stickles. I heat embossed just the word blessings from the Christmas Pines stamp set. Added the burlap ribbon and put it together.
Thanks for the challenge!

I am so impressed you took all of these items and put them together into this one gorgeous card. Wow! Your DIY plaid with the purple in it is totally rocking my world right now because it is so unexpected, yet fabulous. The burlap and touch of gold work fabulously on this card with those richly colored leaves and the embossed bg. I am in love...~Karen.

I'm flabbergasted that you were able to put together elements in your stash randomly received to achieve such an outstanding card! That is inspiring! Love that woodgrained bg from which you built the rest. The red patterned leaves and the gold leaf look so great together with that plaid and burlap ribbon. OUTSTANDING!
