The card base is an 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" piece of Stampin' Up! Whisper White Thick Cardstock, scored and folded at 4-1/4".
The snowflake vellum layer is from SU Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum Pack (retired). I cut the gold snowflake pattern vellum to 5-1/4" x 4" and put Mini Glue Dots behind most of the larger snowflakes so that I could attach this see-through paper to the card base without the dots showing through. I did have to use Tombow glue on the top two corners since there were no snowflakes nearby. I did this by smoothing the glue onto my finger to a thin layer, the rubbing it on the back of the vellum. It is so thin that you can't see it at all.
The deer was stamped using both the outline stamp (SU Basic Black ink) and the sweater deer (Versamark and gold embossing powder) from the SU Merry Patterns set onto Whisper White Thick Cardstok. I used the SU embossing Buddy on the cardstock first so I wouldn't have any stray gold blobs on the non-deer areas. The deer sheet was then cut out using the next-to-largest oval die from the SU Layering Ovals Framelits set. The Gold Glimmer matting was cut using the largest oval.
The deer oval was attached to its gold matting using strong Tear & Tape because glitter paper is so hard to attach things to. On the back of the matted oval I put three strip of Tear & Tape adhesive to which I attached the two halves of a gold doily to frame the matted oval. I then attached this built element to the vellum paper (again with the Tear & Tape).
This card isn't difficult except for matching up the deer outline and the embossed sweater image. I like the definition the black outline gives the embossed image, though.

Oh my, Donna, what a stunning card! I love the way you've combined old and new products with the beautiful Merry Patterns stamp set. How elegant to use only the white and gold! Lovely card, beautifully created. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.
