I hadn't had a chance to play in last week's Black & White & Read all over so I ended up using Gesso, ink and Wink of Stella as my media. I also used this week's sketch to meet today's Ways to Use It challenge to use lighthouses. I loved Sabrina's sample last week with her image stamped over a Gessoed page and used that technique for my image piece. I got a lot of stuff sorted and out away searching for my oval cutter system but had to give up. I ended up tearing my image and frame. I used twine with a knot for my touch of red and the horizontal element. I also added a diecut sentiment. I added some spo gig over my back panel to mimic the aged color of my book page. I added some Wink of Stella to the beam of kight.

I saw your lighthouses last week ;-), I'm glad you found time for another one, and were able to tie it in so perfectly with last week's MIX. Great masculine card.

The way you inked your image, tore the ovals and used the sanded bg looks quite old and vintage, Gail! So many lighthouses have weathered storms galore and are pretty rugged looking. You have depicted them so well!

Great job combining all the challenges. Your attention to detail is wonderful with the red rope and the glittered beam of light. I like the torn edge and the lighthouse stamped on text. Well done with the sketch! TFS
