I read somewhere about using gesso and ink product (I used rust paste by Prima and blue mousse by Nuvo) to color the grunge board then heated it till the gesso bubbled. That is what I did on the lantern but can't remember where I saw the technique. The brad on the cardboard is colored using the rust past but it was not heated.
Make something old look new again with current products!!

Another fabulous page Sharon. I agree with Sharon and love the punched edges too. I love how you've put corrugated cardboard on the LO...Perfect and Oooohhhh that rust...I think I have a small sample somewhere and not used it yet. Love it. I also read and have used gesso with ink or embossing powder and it works a treat. TFS Happy day
