Though I don't get to go camping nearly as often as when I was little, I still find the idea--and especially a good campfire--so relaxing, which is why I chose to do this one for this month's theme. My extra for the Word play is: Nighttime, Anniversary, Pines, Stars.
This will be for my grandparents, who are celebrating their 68th (!!) anniversary. They still love camping.
To make this card, I did an easy watercolor wash using Distress inks on watercolor paper. When it dried, I came in with the pine trees, sometimes stamping off first for a lighter image on the paper. I stamped all the images, colored them using a combo of watercolor and Copics, then fussy cut them out and arranged the scene. I was going to emboss the sentiment in white, but no matter how many times I used the powder tool, I still had a lot of ep sticking. So I scraped it off and went with white ink, using the MISTI a few times to make it more visible. At the end I stamped a few stars in white, adhered everything, then used a bit of Wink of Stella on the stars and fire.
Hope you have a relaxing day!

What a wonderful card! Thanks for the details; I always like to hear the techniques used so I can try them. And I love s'mores. Congratulations to your grandparents and may their anniversary be joyful.
