TodayÂ’s card is going to a very special person! The Global Design Project Sketch Challenge 094 helped to inspire my creation! My Mother-in-Law turns 78 years-old today and I wanted to make something bright and fun for her. The new 2017-2019 In-Colors are fabulous and bright so I decided to go with those as my color combination. The 1/2″ Finely Woven In-Color Ribbon works well for the stripes/blocks shown in the sketch. I decided to use the Milestone Moments Stamp Set and Wish her a 78th Birthday by using portions of the stamps available. The sizing worked out well, each of the words were cut to 2 3/4 in x 1/2 in and adhered to the top of the ribbon with StampinÂ’ Dimensionals. I used several of the flowers from the Flirty Flowers stamp set. I stamped them on Whisper White Cardstock with Basic Black Archival Ink. I colored them with the StampinÂ’ Write In-Color Markers, using the Lemon-Lime Twist for the flower stems and Berry Burst, Tranquil Tide and Fresh Fig as the petals. I cropped the flower bunch with the Stitched Shapes Framelits Large Circle. I cut the side and bottom so it mimicked the corner of the card and adhered with StampinÂ’ Dimensionals. The other flowers were fussy cut with the Paper Snips and also adhered with StampinÂ’ Dimensionals.
