Chapter 21 of the book "50 Truths Worth Knowing" was my inspiration for this card. Tony spoke of saving his money (and working many jobs to earn it) when he was 14-years-old to be able to buy himself a ten-speed bike. Up until then his parents had provided his "wheels" for him. After working/saving for about a year, he'd earned enough to buy the bike of his dreams.
Even though two years later he received his driver's license and moved on to the four-wheel variety of transportation, he still recalls that the first major purchase of his life - that bike - was the best money he ever spent.
You can find more pictures/information about this card and Tony's story on my blog...

Super fun card, Jeanette, how fun you were inspired by your reading. The value of money and working hard for it is a truth worth knowing for sure. Hugz
