This is my second version of the sketch. I went with an Americana look for Memorial Day. I used the Star Framelit dies to create a stencil and then sponged white acrylic paint onto Night of Navy cardstock. I distressed the edges and embossed diagonal stripes. Then I created faux stitching around the edges and on the sentiment strip. I embossed "remember" in white on the Kraft as a prompt to remember & be thankful for those who served and gave their lives for our freedom. The faded gingham paper and paper banners came from a long retired pack of Bella Rose DSP and worked well for the style. I look forward to seeing your creative versions of the sketch and all your clever ideas! TFL

Both of your cards are terrific, Diane....but this is my favorite. I like the homespun, patriotic feeling of this one. Your stencilling of white on the dark ground is very well done....takes some effort to achieve that.
