Another LO that's taken 2 days to complete....gosh this thing called life gets in the way of my crafting time
This LO is part of a monthly challenge for stash busters. I have a lot of stash and started with a very different look but I'm OCD and it just wasn't making me smile.
The LO was scrap lifted from an old scrapping book and it ended up sort of looking like the original. Why is it that someone else's LO always looks amazing compared to your own...mmm.
After leaving the LO and the original papers sitting on my craft desk overnight, today I completely did a U turn and ended up throwing all but one patterned paper back into my stash and started the whole process again.
Stars were die cut and I even inlaid a few on one of the papers...gosh I don't know my own creativity sometimes...LOL...thanks to those who have shared this technique in the past and especially Jennifer McGuire and her videos.
A rub-on, lace and bling added and I've managed to fulfill the challenge requirements and with more patterned papers. Now I'm smiling.
Hubby says it's not too busy like I usually do...he knows I'm not good with clear spaces
Thanks for looking and happy ANZAC day from Australia

Amazing job on this layout! Fab layers. Love the distressing. The stars sure add to the festive and happy theme for these photos. Perfect colors - the b & w with the blue and pop of red and a bit of soft yellow not to overwhelm. I, too, like to start out with someone's page I like, and it always morphs into something else, but I'm getting better and, let me tell you, you have done GREAT here!
