Cathy's WTUI Celebrate Earth Day challenge gave me the excuse to indulge and buy the earth die cut. The cute Love Your Mother stamp was a treat from my sweet daughter. She loves nature and sets a marvelous example of taking care of this beautiful planet. This card will go to her!
I smacked shades of blue, green and brown on my craft mat, sprayed it with water and mopped it up with a sheet of cs. After it dried, I die cut the earth, then sponged on more ink for to create a little depth for land masses and ocean highlights. I stamped the image, colored with distress ink, restamped the top with black and embossed. Flicked gold marker over black cs to create stars. Added a leftover strip from die cutting, the earth and my sentiment/image circle. TFL and Happy Earth Day!

Great stamps, so perfect for the challenge. It's fun to see the extra strip of card left after the die-cut. Plenty of earth tones but your starry background is - stellar.

Thanks for your description of how you did the coloring on the earth pieces. It turned out glorious! I thought at first that it had to be a photo from a magazine or something. Your daughter will really love this card, the Earth and you!
