Joyce challenged us to use a different medium than our usual. I usually use copic alcohol ink markers for my coloring. I got a set of the Faber Castell Pitt india ink pens for my birthday and have been using them mostly for details and highlights. This was a very different experience because the inks do not really blend but they are bright and saturated.
I fussy cut around the edges of two cluster stampings Joyce sent us to make the corner pieces. I used a black Momento pen to fill in the space between the flowers so they look like they are floating on the black honeycomb embossed background. I glued the colored corners to a hinged strip on each side. The center flower acts as a clasp: the petals over and underlap the blossoms of the corner pieces.
The butterflies are popped up and attached to the background of the interior. They are from the Laurel Burch collection.
When opened the interior reveals a lovely Laurel Burch Kitty admiring the butterflies and flowers. The sentiment says "it's all about happy".
My card goes out to Susanne this month.

And such an excellent card I get to receive--the colors POP--just lovely and I appreciate the fussy cutting and the sentiment--trying to keep things funny and light here as I recoup a doop!
